Rectangular Hangs

A consistent doodle since I was a kid, the checkerboard. Lines and shapes cover these hand-built vessels using slip and underglaze. The pattern I created inspired how I shaped the steel to support the vessels, bending and welding geometrically. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind interactive sculpture.

Watching the water gather into the tray below is quite fun and it is placed further away so you can easily pick it up to water other plants.

Plant directly. It is approx. a 4" vessel, but a 4" plastic insert does not fit.

All pots are fired to cone 10 in a gas reduction kiln.
