hanging big loop

The patinated steel loop hanger supports this hand built textured vessel by its slab built handles. Carved and sculptured created by using slabs on the upper portion then a long continuous coil closed the form on the bottom.

I followed the lines of the coil with a tool to carve an indent then I accentuated it with a black underglaze. Also note the perpendicular thinly carved lines in black to create a unique pattern.

The vessel holds a 4" insert pot or could be planted directly if done properly. There is not a drainage hole.

One handmade 'S' hook included - OR- could have a large custom 'S' hook for an additional cost (last image).

All pots are fired to cone 10 in a gas reduction kiln and all Steel has a darkening patina and sealed with a clear coat.
