Wobble Bowls
The third hand sorta worked here (a fun turn of phrase speaking to the potential effects a kiln at 2300 degrees can create) I was hoping these rounded bottom bowls would settle down a little more — they sit upright, but not straight working perfectly for some things, but if you had other things in mind for these vessels you have the option to order them with a custom metal stand to support a more upright position, see drop down menu below for pricing.
On the left I used recycled clay and painted stripes with black stain, inside and out.
The right was 1st painted in white slip, I then methodically removed line by line to reveal the clay underneath in my favorite opposing checkerboard-ish line pattern.
